Halfway to Hazard is a duo
that takes its name from the “large” city in between the two
smaller hamlets in Kentucky where they grew up. Their
meet-in-the-middle blend explores the question, are they rock or
are they country. Taking their influence as much from heavy
metal bands as from their Kentucky mountain roots, their hit,
“Party Like Rock Stars”, is a sharp contrast to “Daisy,” a
country ode to a sweetheart that shows the band’s diversity.
Halfway to Hazard opened dates for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s
Soul2Soul II tour in 2007 and 2008. |

Electric Hearts calls itself a garage band, playing classic
rock with some electric and acoustic music thrown in. Practice
spaces aside, its list of covers shows the band’s diversity.
They play Otis Redding’s “Dock of the Bay” as easily as
Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” then roll into The Who’s lively
“Squeeze Box.” The six member band, who all make their homes in
the Western Communities plays private parties and community
events. |
